it took 8 small oranges to make this 2 cup container of OJ (no, not  simpson) this should be enough for all three of us to have a small glass for breakfast, i think.

its a little strange

normally my work clothes consist of jeans and a tee or polo, last week i decided i have alot of clothes that i rarely wear and i should wear them. today, since i knew i would be working in the office (as opposed to the "shop" IE staying clean and ladyish) i should wear a skirt.

my friends, co workers are glancing at me out of the corner of their eye and seem afraid to say anything, like i have a disease noone wants to talk about. how odd. only one person has mentioned it.

an interesting social experiment if nothing else. 

snooz-fest

i have been up to nothing!! yep thats right, ...oh wait i did watch 2 episodes of Chuck and eat sour patch kids last night.

found this awesome old fan but didnt trust the existing cord enoughto buy it , i know i could have it rewired, but lets face it, i wouldnt get around to it.

went to the Grout museum of iowa history. they have a huge new addition dedicated to vets of  wars from the civil war to the present situation in Iraq.

factoid: the 5 sullivan brothers, stationed on the same ship during ww2 and all 5 killed in an attack on the ship were from waterloo ia. the attack on the USS Juneau resulting in their deaths and another family of 4 brothers (not from waterloo) was the reason for the passing of a bill not allowing all siblings from one family to be stationed in the same military unit.

saturday morning my mom and i took D bowling for the first time, a momentous event for a child in our family, we are bowlers.

we had alot of fun but , man my leg hurts! you wouldnt think bowling should hurt but i figure it equal to 20 lunges on the same leg, uh... i dont do lunges, i guess maybe i should start.

Me: Hmm... what do we need to build a rocket?

D:we need a window, i think we need a round window.

Me: we only have rectangle windows though. where will we get a round one?

D: well, maybe at the Lumber Mill.
