my baby kitty

ok i admit he was hardly a baby. not all cats get the joys of living to the ripe old age of 15, we were informed by the vet that anything over 11 is considered senior and over 14 is the geriatric category. but he was my first baby, i fed and cleaned up after and loved him, and even when he took a backseat to my human baby and got permantly kicked out of my bed for keeping a pregnant woman from sleeping as soundly as is possible given her condition, he still knew when it was a good time to climb onto my lap and snuggle.

last week he was diagnosed with cancer, the vet said probably bone or liver cancer, i started feeding him pills that hopefully would extend his life by a month or so but they didn't. i will miss him, probably alot, but i wont miss cleaning up hairballs.

Oh, I'm so sorry. Poor kitty -- he had a good life, though, and a good family. At least now there won't be any rushing for the newspaper when he starts to do that cat-barf-head-thing.

Hey there Hilltopper! Thanks for leaving a comment on my blog. First let me say how sorry I am about you losing your kitty :( Secondly, Madison IN! My in laws live in Carrolton KY, and whenever we visit them, we spend at least one day in Madison. I love going to Lumber Mill Antique Mall! In fact there is a good chance I will be there next week.

I'm terribly sorry. This brought tears to my eyes. I dont care how long Mabel lives, she'll always be my baby too.

Oh no! :( I'm so sorry! One of our dogs is starting to get up there in years and it breaks my heart to even think about losing her...I'm really sorry for your loss.

I just came over to check out your blog. Saw your comment on my sister in laws blog, daily observations. I too have an orange baby, mine is 6 and quite a handful. Currently, he is in a lamp shade with stitches, because he doesn't always play well with others. He is so rotten though. As a kid, I dreamed of owning a orange cat and my first few cats chose me.

You gotta love a orange tabby. Take care.
