my week off

im taking suggestions on where and with whom to spend my week off which is june 26 through july 6. the babysitter and her family will be out of town and K will be working nonstop because of regatta so D and i simply must do something i think we would both be stir crazy if we stuck around here. so on my limited budget which is roughly 400 clams for the whole trip including gas food lodging etc we want to do something fun, it may end up being a series of day trips but were gonna have fun. so faithful blog readers, bring on the suggestions.

i think you should visit your mom in iowa.you could visit friends and relitives and go to many events going on at that time. we would spoil your child unlimitlessly and let you sleep as late as you wanted.

I;ll put my bid in to come to Ohio, although you might not have as much family here, we can have fun! And the food and lodging are free here!!

Hmmm...
Okay, if you stay around here and haven't been to either the Indy children's museum or the Cincy museum center, those are a must. In fact, if you ran over to Cincy and got a room, you could do the Cincy museum center that has a children's museum and a natural history museum and an IMAX all in one building, that's tons of fun. Then, you could hit the Newport Aquarium. Plus, there is a free and fun for little ones place called Parky's Ark and Parky's Farm. Parky's Ark is a water play area (think sprinklers and mini water slides for little kids) and the farm is a petting zoo that even has pony rides. Plus, they have paddle boats for their little "lake". It's all located on the north side of Cincy and is within a state park. Check it out online...we had tons of fun there when the kids were little. Then, if you and D love airplanes and such, head up to Dayton for the Air Force museum...it's FREEEEEEEE! They have amazing displays that take you through the progression of flight through the ages...right up to the space display. Plus, they have a bunch of planes outside as well. Definitely a good time. :)

Oh, one more thing...if you want company, call me! We love those places as well :)
